Worship

Worship is central to our church life here at St Mary’s.

Music team
Our music team plays at the 10:30am and 6:30pm services in a contemporary style. Our 10:30 band offers a ‘bigger’ sound with a variety of different instruments ranging from percussion and rhythmic instruments through to melodical instruments such as clarinets and oboes. Our 6:30 service is more ‘stripped back’ in style and normally has one or two musicians (Usual guitar/keyboard or vocals). All musicians are welcome to get involved and serve in this ministry. Please email our Musical Worship Leader, Matt         Hurley at worship@stmarysb.org.uk to find out more.

St Marys SingersOur choir, St Mary’s Singers is a growing, friendly choir which meets to practice on Tuesdays from 7:30-9pm in the church during term time. St Mary’s Singers sing most weeks at the 9am traditional service, and also at special services like Christmas and Easter throughout the year, as well as concerts, weddings and funerals. We sing a wide range of music, and are always looking for new members to join us. The choir is non-auditioned, but it is helpful if you can read music. If you would like to find out more, please email the conductor, Joanna Leighton at music@stmarysb.org.uk, or just come along to a rehearsal!

Sound and visionWe are always looking for people to help with sound and visuals at church. We need volunteers at all three of our Sunday services, and at special events throughout the year. If this is an area that you are interested in, then we would love to hear from you! Contact worship@stmarysb.org.uk for more information.
